FIRST AMERICAN RED CROSS HEALTH FAIR OF 2010 TO BE HELD

 

WHAT:            American Red Cross Health Fair 2010

 

WHERE:          Brookwood Baptist Church  *** New Location ***

 (9014 Brookwood Church Way, Shreveport) (Off 1-49 South at Bert Kouns)      

WHEN:            Wednesday, March 10th

 

TIME:              7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

 

WHO:              Hosted by Northwest Louisiana Chapter American Red Cross

 

WHY:              Offers low cost opportunity for people to keep up with their health. Three blood                                    screening options are available:

A Detailed Profile (Multi-Chem, CBC, Lipid & Thyroid Profiles),

and for men, A Detailed Profile with a PSA Screening (Multi-Chem, CBC,

Lipid & Thyroid Profiles and Prostate Cancer Screen).

Pneumonia shots will also be available.

 

COST:             $35 or $45, depending on the test.    Take-home Colorectal Cancer Screen - $4.

Pneumonia shots will be free to those who bring their Medicare Part B

card or $30 for all others.

 

OTHER:           Participants should fast for 12 hours prior to the tests. They also should bring a 44-

            cent stamp or the money to buy one. Participants wanting the pneumonia 

vaccination MUST bring  their Medicare Part B card with them in order to

receive it for free.
